DBShifts is a cross-engine database migration and data platform. We help teams move schema and data between engines — with checksum-proven integrity and a clean, zero-downtime cutover — and then browse, reconcile, and govern that data once it lands.
Why we built it
Database migration is treated as a one-off, high-stakes gamble — a long maintenance window, a hope that the row counts line up, and a rollback plan nobody wants to test. We think it should be routine: verifiable, observable, and reversible. So we built the platform around proof — every move is validated row-for-row — and around continuity, so the source keeps serving traffic until the moment you switch.
What we stand for
Integrity over speed
Every migration is proven, not assumed. Type-aware row checksums, foreign-key checks, and schema-fidelity diffs run after each move — so a green result means the data actually arrived intact.
Zero-downtime by default
Production databases can't stop. Change Data Capture bookmarks the source before the snapshot and replays every write made during it, so the cutover is clean and the target never falls behind.
No lock-in
Your data is yours. We move it across relational, distributed-SQL, document, and warehouse engines — in any direction — without proprietary formats or one-way doors.
Security at the boundary
Credentials are encrypted at rest, validated at the edge, and redacted from logs and responses. Parameterized SQL only. Default-deny access control on every route.
